Long time no blog...
So, the move was very stressful, but I'm still trying to decide if it was really that bad or just me being me. By the end of it I literally had my first crazy pregnancy meltdown, brought on by a shower curtain falling on my head, but it was the last straw... I may have let slip a certain swear word I've never uttered before in my life, yelled "I just... want to take... a shower!" and then started to cry! It was bad. Good thing I can laugh now, and Zach definitely can too.
But we're here, still working on getting settled... for one thing we have not got many decorative items up because we had to wait to paint first. We now have the living room, kitchen, and part of the entry painted, but then got burnt out and haven't quite finished. I know we are doing light tan in the baby room, but still no ideas for bathroom, office/guest room, or our bedroom (which I am neglecting anyway because I really want new bedding in possibly a totally different color scheme, even though new bedding is pretty much out of the question at this time. Urgh)
Anyway, we also have more walls now, which means more decisions about where to hang all of our items, and I haven't felt very inspired lately, and if you know Zach... well... he'll tell me where he thinks things look bad, but is no help the other way around. Also we are still waiting to get curtains for at least one room, and pictures/frames for a collage on the wall over the couch, and it's just all a lot of work! (Fun work- well, sometimes) but we need to get cracking cause the baby room is still full of stuff we haven't really bothered to unpack yet, and then I am working a 40 hour position now instead of 3/4 and feel like I have... uhh... no time? to dedicate to all of these projects! Can I really just request like a week off to get caught up with my life? That'd be great.
Meanwhile, I'm excited, because I just spent a couple of hours with Lauren, my blessedly creative and crafty BFF, who is donating her time and talents to my baby shower, and we brainstormed a bunch of ideas. (Orrrrr she just had a bunch already and we went from there... like I said, not feeling super inspired in the creativity area lately) But seriously, I'm excited. Wish I could spill all the deets now, but it will have to wait, since I don't want to spoil the surprise! (P.S. if you want an invite, let me know and give me your address! We're making and sending them soon! Would love to have you... and can I just say... the party favors... well, I want one.) Plus- hello free food. Isn't that the point of showers and weddings?!
Speaking of, highlight of my day? Definitely (besides the shower planning): my frosty from Wendy's.

Names...
...are hard. Not revealing yet what we're thinking about to the grand public because I am too easily swayed! But I'm wishing we could make a decision!!
This is now a few days late but here's 23 weeks. Zach was not patient enough to take a good picture of me so I took a ridiculous one of myself. But seriously, the other ones were not cute! or blurry! Why do I have the worst luck with these?... case in point:
so I tried to make this ridiculous one look a little more artsy. No, your computer screen isn't dusty, that's my dirty mirror!
My belly is getting bigger every day... funny what a difference 3 weeks can make!

I dreamed a dream
Can we just talk about the weirdy dreams I have each night/morning??? I wanted to record these somewhere. My mom's family is infamous for their crazy dreams as it is (seriously- c r a z y), but SOMEthing is really off (hmmm!) with me lately. It's better that I'm dreaming at 4 AM than waking up like I was before though, so I'll take it.
Last night I dreamt that Zach had a twin brother and never told me, except it is this kid he knows from back home who I've met like twice... and they don't look alike and have different last names. And parents. But I was bitterly mad at him for keeping something like that from me all this time.
Then I dreamt that my dad died back in February (that's what I get for watching the Bachelor before bed I guess) and I didn't know because I hadn't called him in a while, except my brother had never mentioned it to me! So then I was simultaneously upset that I didn't have a better relationship with my dad and mad at my brother for not feeling it important enough to call me over something like that.
I woke up in a sweat trying to pry some large wild cat's jaws open because he was going to try to kill all the other animals in the race. No, you're not confused... well not any more than I was anyway. Except one "animal" in the race was my Sunday School teaching partner and she was in a wheelchair. I have no further explanation for that one.
And this was all just last night! I also had a dream a few nights ago that Abbie (yes, if you're reading this Abbie, it's you) was trying to stab me 10,000 times. And I didn't know why and I was worried about my baby! (uh, ya think?) BUT. I had at least two dreams about us going to the doctor and them telling us the baby was a girl, and that was before the ultrasound, and guess what?......... so call it crazy if you like, I'm calling it motherly intuition (at least on those counts.) :o)
All that being said, I think the theme song for this post should be one from Les Miserables- I keep thinking "I dreamed a dream in time gone by..." and "but the tigers come at night!..." because they do, they really do. Thanks, mom, for the weirdy genes!
P.S. if you don't know this song, listen to it, it's really one of my favorites in all seriousness... and it's really beautiful. Just a few key phrases that seem to fit! haha :o) This is also the Glee version. My other favorite.

it's so fluffy I'm gonna DIE!!!
(although my post title has nothing to do with this post, it adequately portrays my excitement)
TOMORROW!!! 24 hours from now the mystery will be over.
Like, I'm trying not to geek out about this too much, and act cool, because I don't remember any of my friends freaking out this much. But I think tomorrow MIGHT be better than Christmas.
I can't wait!!!
P.S. if for some reason we still can't tell what the baby is then a nervous breakdown will commence. Be warned.
